Wouldn’t it be nice to have some homemade remedies to clear acne instead of having to shell out hundreds if not thousands of dollars on over the counter products which many believe do more harm than good? Not to mention that it feels pretty good to save some money when you can, so here are some very helpful homemade remedies to clear acne, and most of the items that you need for these remedies may already in your kitchen! Get a hold of some fresh fenugreek leaves and add a little water. Mix into a paste and then apply to the infected area. Leave overnight and then rinse off with some warm water in the morning.
Wash the infected area with cold water and then apply some warm honey with a clean soft cloth. Leave for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water again. Applying this method daily can have amazing results.
Another effective method is to grate some orange peels and mix with some water into a kind of paste. Apply to the infected area. Leave for maybe an hour or so and then wash your face with warm water.
If you have some tumeric powder available then mix some of this into a bowl with mint juice. Apply, and then leave for about 30 minutes or so and then rinse with lukewarm water.
Extra virgin olive oil has been known to work well, so pour a little on to a ‘clean’ finger and rub gently on the infected area. After 10 minutes, wipe with a clean dry cloth.
Use some garlic. You may not have heard of this method before, but because of the antiseptic and astringent properties garlic has, it can be very effective in clearing acne. Simply crush some garlic cloves into a juice and gently rub some on your acne. Leave for about 5 minutes or so and then rinse with water.
Make an oatmeal facial pack. Mix about 2 spoonfuls of oatmeal with about half a cup of milk and when it becomes soft which is after 10 minutes or so, apply it to your ‘clean’ face. Leave for about 20 minutes and then rinse off.
Get some lime juice and rose water, mix together in a glass or cup and apply every night after washing your face. After about half an hour, wash your face again and dab dry.
If you have some basil in your kitchen, then take a couple of teaspoons full and soak in boiling water for about 20 minutes. After it cools down, apply some to the infected areas with a cotton pad.
Get a lemon and squeeze the juice out of it. Apply some on your acne and leave overnight. Wash with warm water in the morning. Because citrus fruits such as lemon contains Vitamin C, it can be very effective in treating acne.
